Michael has been designing and creating games for the last six years in an academic environment. These games include top-down space shooters, FPS, RPG(Tabletop), Board games(tabletop), maze, puzzles, casual/hyper-casual, co-op, narrative-driven, twitch reaction, alt controller, roguelike and arcade. Some of these gamers are created for PC, Android and/or AR.

Michael has experience in many different types of input and target devices. This experience allows for quick iteration and design of new and unique input methods.

Michael has released many games on Itch.io. A lot of these games are experiments in player input and player feedback. Joining game jams allows more feedback on games that have unique and interesting input methods. This games jams range in time frame from 3 hours to 3 months.

Bachelors Honours Degree (2.1)

During Michaels time in Technological University Dublin formerly Dublin institute of Technology they gained an understanding of Game Design, with many opportunities to implement the designs concepts thought throughout the 4 years of study in TU Dublin. Michael focused on programming in the Unity 3D game engine for the bulk of their time although they have created games in processing 3, Unity 3D, Game Maker and traditional tabletop games while studying in TU Dublin.

QQI Level 6 (Distinction and Student of the year)

Michael spent 1 year in QQI level 6 Games Development in Bray Institute of Further Education (BIFE). During this time they developed two games in Unity 3D and designed and created online leader board and implemented online hosting of this information and a web page. Michael was first introduced to HTML5, CSS, PHP, Java(Unity) script while in BIFE.

QQI Level 5 (Distinction and Student of the year)

Michaels first introduction to Game design as an academic subject was BIFE's QQI level 5 Game Design. During this time Michael gained an understanding of logic and game flow. Game analysis and the ludology of games. Games created at this time was in the Blender Game Engine. This started a created and exciting direction in Michael's career path.
